Section 1.

Section 401 of Title 2 in the Yap State Code, as amended by Yap State Law No. 10-88, is hereby amended to read as follows:

“Section 401. Legislature salaries. The annual salary for each member of the Legislature shall be as follows:

(a) Speaker ……………………………….. $37,000.00 and

(b) other members ……………………$35,000.00.”

Section 2.

Section 402 of Title 2 in the Yap State Code as mended by Yap State Law Nos. 9-7 and 11-77, is hereby amended to read as follows:

“Section 402. Official expense allowance. There shall be made available to each member of the Legislature an

official expense allowance of $Xl.£.Q,000.00 per annum to assist in defraying expenses relating to or resulting

from the discharge of his official duties. The official expense allowance may be used for, but not limited to, the

hiring of personal staff, office space, supplies and equipment, administrative and technical assistance, and travel.”

Section 3.

This Act shall become law upon its approval by the Governor, or upon its becoming law without such approval.
