Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Yap.

Section 1

Section 401 in Chapter 4 of Title 3 of the Yap State Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
“Section 401. Executive salaries.
(a) Annual salaries for the Governor and
Lieutenant Governor shall be as follows:
(1) Governor ………….. $ 40,000.00; and
(2) Lieutenant Governor . . . $ 37.000.00.
(b) Annual salaries for directors of offices and
departments shall be requested by the Governor and such
salaries shall not exceed $30,000 per annum, unless the
Legislature or committee thereof consents to a higher
salary.
(c) Annual salary for the Attorney General shall not
exceed $45,000 per annum, unless the Legislature consents
to a higher salary.
(d) Governor shall propose such salaries, exceeding
the maximum provided in this Act and beyond approved,
available funds, for the directors of offices and
department upon his transmittal of the nominations for
the respective positions. “

Section 2

This Act shall take effect on January 11, 2027, upon approval by the Governor or upon its
becoming law without such approval.
