Recognizing, acknowledging and expressing the appreciation of the people of Yap for the selfless efforts of Antonio M. Piosca making himself available to assist the people of the State of Yap

WHEREAS, Antonio M. Piosca, known as “Tony”, is a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines, who resided briefly in Yap State previously years ago; and

WHEREAS, upon his return to the Philippines, Tony has visited and cared for numerous referral Yapese patients and their attendants and family during their stay in the Philippines; and

WHEREAS, in ensuing years until now, Tony Piosca has made numerous sacrifices of his time, energy and sometimes expense, to visit such patients and their attending families at a time where they are stressed, frightened and overwhelmed during medical treatment in a foreign land; and

WHEREAS, such community services by Tony Piosca has made him a true friend and companion to the Yapese people and to the State of Yap, demonstrating his compassionate and giving spirit, in helping fellow community members during times of difficulties and hardships; and

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Eleventh Legislature of the State of Yap, Third Regular Session, 2025, that the Legislature recognizes, acknowledges, and expresses the appreciation of the people of Yap for the selfless efforts of Antonio M. Piosca making himself available to assist the people of the State of Yap; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Tony Piosca shall be recognized by all of the people of Yap as the person that has the true Yapese spirit and compassion and he shall be known as a Friend to the People and the State of Yap; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution shall be sent to Antonio M. Piosca and his family, the Speaker of the Yap State Legislature, the Chief Justice of Yap State Court, the Governor of the State of Yap, the Chairman of the Council of Pilung, and the Chairman of the Council of Tamol
