Approving $14,486,720, subject to Yap State appropriation law, the Yap State Fiscal Year 2026 recommended budget estimates for funding under the 2023 Amended Compact for submission to the President of the Federated States of Micronesia to transmit to the United States for review and approval
BE IT RESOLVED by the Eleventh Legislature of the State of Yap, Third Regular Session, 2025 that the Legislature hereby approves $14,486,720, subject to Yap State appropriation law, the Yap State Fiscal Year 2026 recommended budget estimates for funding under the 2023 Amended Compact for submission to the President of the Federated States of Micronesia to transmit to the United States for review and approval; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the $14,486,720 breakdown by sources are as follows: 1. Education Sector $7,345,594, 2. Health Sector $6,476,841, 3. Public Sector $268,409, and 4. Enhanced Rep. & Accty. $396,876; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Governor shall timely inform the Legislature of the 2023 Amended Compact sector grant awards for funding the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget, and to provide all pertinent information such as specific changes made by the United States to the budget details as recommended by the Legislature, and any condition which the United States may have imposed on any planned uses of the grants awarded for Yap State; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Legislature endorses and approves the Yap State Project Management Office operation budget of $723,219 for Fiscal Year 2026, subject to Congressional appropriation; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Legislature endorses an application for $1,998,979 to be drawn down from the FSM Trust Fund, Account 3, for use by Yap State for the purpose of funding purchase of needed port equipment; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that certified copies of this Resolution be transmitted to the Governor, the President of the Federated States of Micronesia, the Director of the Office of Planning and Budget, the Director of the Office of Administrative Services, the Chief of Budget, the Chairman of the Council of Pilung and the Chairman of the Council of Tamol
