This video records the public hearing held by the Committee on Resources, Education, and Development (RED) on Governor’s Communication No. 11-490, which nominated Ms. Numie Acker for appointment to the Yap State Foreign Investment Board (F.I.B).
Under the Yap State Constitution, the Governor’s nominees to state boards must be reviewed and confirmed by the Legislature. Public hearings give committee members the opportunity to question nominees about their qualifications, experience, and vision for the role. Members of the public may also attend and provide testimony during these proceedings.
